Demand controlled ventilation : conciliating IAQ and energy savings - AIVC 2008This updated article has been presented during the AIVC Conference in Kyoto, in October 2008. Numerous studies and monitoring studies from Europe to Asia have shown the advantage of using this ventilation system in various dwelling configurations, building types or occupancy and meteorological conditions. With a cost usually only 3 to 4 times the price of a classical exhaust only system -installation cost is the same-, humidity controlled systems have a short payback period, depending on energy cost and winter temperature.
